Montreal, Quebec, August 18, 2021 - Mr. Jacques Deforges, Chief Executive Officer of Finance Montreal, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Sebastian Boisjoly as Vice-President, FinTech and Technological Innovation.
In this role, Mr. Boisjoly will be responsible for pursuing Finance Montréal's FinTech strategy aimed at positioning Quebec as a business place of choice and key player in Canada for the FinTech sector. He will also be responsible for leading the strategy for the “technology and finance” axis, in interaction with members of Finance Montreal and ecosystem stakeholders, in order to identify and carry out promising technological initiatives for the financial industry. His experience in the world of innovation, financing and venture capital will be invaluable assets for the organization.

Mr. Boisjoly is a lawyer by training, member of the Bar, and has a bachelor's degree in finance and a master's degree in taxation from HEC Montréal. He has more than 20 years of experience, among others at KPMG, the Quebec Ministry of Finance, Investissement Quebec and most recently Highline Beta. He was a director and member of advisory committees of several investment funds and of Réseau Capital.
